1) How does it work?

We've made the process super simple! Select the box you'd like to order, choose any customization, and finally select the time frame. Add your selection to your cart and checkout. You'll receive an email notification of your purchase a few minutes later. That's it! 

2) How soon will I receive my box after I subscribe?

Your first box will be shipped out within 5 business days of placing your order and will be delivered straight to your door. New subscribers have between the first and last day of the month/order period to order the that month/season's box. All subscriptions will auto-renew on the anniversary date of the purchase and term selected at the time of purchase (i.e. month-to-month, 3-month prepay, 6-month prepay, 12-month prepay, quarterly, or 4-quarter prepay). See Question 9 below for the order/ship schedule for The Balanced Lifestyle Box. Note: items purchased from the Market ship approximately 1 week after orders are received.

3) What if I want to try one box? 

You can absolutely try just one box! Once you receive your box, if you don't want to continue, simply cancel your subscription before the renewal is set to take place. 

4) Can I cancel anytime? 

 Yes, absolutely! You are able to cancel your subscription at anytime before your next renewal. All box purchases are final sale and non-refundable. Cancelling your subscription will ensure it does not renew for an additional term but does not generate a refund and you will still receive any boxes remaining under the term.  

5) Are there any cancellation fees or obligations?

Absolutely not! We pride ourselves on transparency. There are no cancellation fees or other fees that we sneak up on you. 

6) Can I purchase a gift? 

Yes, of course! All you have to do is check off the "gift" box when placing your order.  Also items from the Market make great gifts too and don't auto-renew! 

7) Will my subscription renew?

Yes. All Balanced Boxes are ongoing subscriptions and will be billed on the term of your purchase (monthly, every 3/6/12 months, quarterly, or annually), depending on the option chosen. You will be automatically charged using the payment method provided until you cancel. You may cancel at any time before your next bill date online or by contacting us at: info@thebalancedcompanyinc.com. Gift subscriptions do not automatically renew.

8)  How much is shipping?
Shipping is a flat rate of $2.95 for The Balanced Discovery Box, $3.95 for the Mini Snacker, $4.95 for The Balanced Snack Box and The Balanced Pantry Box, and $5.95 for The Balanced Lifestyle Box. Get FREE Shipping on Market orders totaling $50 or more; Market purchases under $50 ship for $4.95.  


We ship Canada-wide! Note: a small number of remote locations may not be reachable by our shipping service. We can not ship to P.O. Boxes.

9) What is the order and shipping schedule?

The Balanced Snack Box and The Balanced Pantry Box are monthly boxes. You have between the first and last day of the month to order that month's box, which will ship out within 5 business days of your order being placed. Renewals for subsequent boxes will take place every month or every term based on the anniversary date of your purchase and plan selected at time of purchase.

The Balanced Lifestyle Box is a seasonal box. Boxes ordered or renewed within The Balanced Company’s seasonal 3-month period will receive that season’s box. For example, orders for the Spring Boxes are open from February 1st - April 30th. Renewals for subsequent boxes will take place every quarter or annually based on the anniversary date of your purchase and plan selected at time of purchase.

10)  I ordered a prepaid plan. Can I cancel it and be refunded?  

All prepaid plans are non-refundable. You can cancel it anytime to ensure it does not renew for another term, but we cannot refund after the purchase has been made and the term has begun.

11)  Can I customize for a specific dietary preference/restriction? 

Yes! The Balanced Snack Box is offered in original, gluten-free, vegan, and keto-friendly options.  

12)  Are your gluten-free snacks all certified? 

Not all snacks that are included in the Gluten-Free Snack Box are certified gluten-free. While all snacks will not contain gluten, some snacks may be processed in facilities that also process gluten. Please read the ingredients carefully before consuming any products. 

13)  Can I choose the products that are in my box? 

We do not offer individual customizations. Our Curation Team carefully handpicks items for each box every month/season! The boxes are a surprise for all subscribers each month, and all subscribers will receive their boxes around the same time each shipping period. However you can pick individual items and even bundles directly from our Market! 14)  Do you have a referral program? 

We sure do! Once you make a purchase and create an account at checkout, you will be provided with a unique link for our "Share-A-Box" referral program, which you can then share with friends and family or even post on social media. For every 5 people, you refer with your unique link, your next Balanced Box renewal is FREE! Plus, you'll earn 15 Balanced Points for every renewal. And that's not all - the person making a purchase using your unique referral link will get 15% off their order! This discount is already programmed into your link and will automatically be applied at checkout for them.

15)  How do I earn Balanced Points through the Loyalty Program? 

The moment you complete your first purchase, you create your account and begin earning points - it's that easy! There are a few different ways you can earn Balanced Points, and we've listed them out for you below:

16)  Do you include short-dated products?

Part of our mission at The Balanced Company is to reduce unnecessary waste where we can. Included in this is helping brands that we partner with move through their short-dated product so that perfectly good products aren’t thrown away into the landfill. It turns out, there is a lot of misunderstanding about Best Before Dates and what they mean. A Best Before Date is not an expiration date or an indication of spoilage, but rather a guideline for a product’s ultimate freshness. Especially with shelf-stable products. Therefore, in your Balanced Snack and Pantry Boxes, you may find products that are close to their printed best-before dates, however, we ensure that the date is at least 1 month from delivery of the Balanced Snack Box and 2 months from the delivery of the Balanced Pantry Box.
